DTM-9 Installation Notes


Installation Notes: mount the timer away from inductive loads as contactors and motors. Use separate power supply line for the timer if possible. All inductive loads must have MOV or RC suppressors.

Pin Description

1 - Relay Normally Open

2 - Relay Common

3 - Relay Normally Closed

4 - Not Used

5 - Not Used

6 - Not Used

A - Power N (Note the power rating indicated on unit) Connect to correct Voltage or unit will be damaged.

B - Power L (Note the power rating indicated on unit) Connect to correct Voltage or unit will be damaged. Install the unit as far as possible from any electrical noise source. Mount the unit on a DIN rail ar attach it with two screws to the desired location. Connect the appropriate power wires to pins A and B. Connect the pins I and 2 to the open command terminals in the gate operator. Programming Instructions:

1. Move the ON/OFF sliding switch to the ON position, the display will activate. The Timer is now switched on.

2. While holding the CLOCK button down set the day by depressing the DAY button as many times as necessary to set the right day.

3. While holding the CLOCK button down set the hour by depressing the HOUR button as many times as necessary to display the correct hour.

4. While holding the CLOCK button down set the correct minutes by depressing the MIN. button as many times as needed to display the correct minutes. The Clock is now set to the correct day and time.

5. Press the PROG push‑button to begin the programming of the timer. Program I ON is the time the relay will be activated.

6. Set the day or days you want to program by pressing the DAY push‑button. Pressing the DAY button will move the timer from one day to the other until you reach blocks of days that can be programmed.

7. Set the time when the relay will be activated by pressing the HOUR and MIN push buttons.

8. Press the PROG push button to continue to set the timer OFF period. Follow the sequences in steps 6

9. Set the time when the relay will be deactivated by pressing the HOUR and MIN push‑buttons.

10. Continue the setting of up to 6 ON/OFF periods per week the same way as above.

11. At the end of programming press the CLOCK push‑button.

For example you want to keep the gate open from 8:00AM to 5:00PM from Monday to Friday and from 9:00AM until 2:00PM on Saturday. Set the clock time as in 2 to 4 above, press PROG once so that the display shows 1 ON. Press DAY push button 8 times until Monday through Friday is displayed. Press HOUR 9 times until 8:00 is displayed. Press PROG once so that 1 OFF is displayed. Press DAY button 8 times until Monday through Friday is displayed. Press HOUR 18 times until 17:00 is displayed. Press PROG button till 2 ON is displayed. Press on DAY till Saturday is displayed, press on HOUR until 9:00 is displayed. Press on PROG till 2 OFF is displayed, press DAY till Saturday is displayed. Press on HOUR until 14:00 is displayed. Press on CLOCK and set the timer on AUTO.

NOTE: Use ON/AUTO/OFF to toggle between ON, timer program and OFF.

INSTRUCTION:

I ) Make Sure The ON/OFF Switch At "ON" Position

II) PUSH BUTTON FUNCTION:

(1) CLOCK - Clock Indication

(2) DAY - Day Reset

(3) HOUR - Hour Reset

(4) MIN - Minute Reset

(5) PROG - 6 Set Of Programmable ON/OFF Settings; Display 1 ON, 1 OFF  6 ON, 6 OFF

(6) RST/RCL - Reset/Recall For Single Programmable Only

(7) ON/AUTO/OFF LOCK ON/AUTO/LOCK OFF - Selectable

(8) POWER LED - Indicator

(9) OFF/ON SWITCH-  Switch ON For LCD Display, Switch OFF For Resetting.

III CLOCK SETTING:  
1. Press "CLOCK" And "DAY" Together Till Correct Date Is Shown  
2. Press "CLOCK" And "HOUR" Together Till Correct Hour Is Shown  
3. Press "CLOCK" And "MIN" Together Till Correct Minute Is Shown

V TIMER SETTING:
1. Press "PROG" (Timer 1st On Mode)

2. Press "DAY" Stop At Requested Date 
(1) Different Mode: (1) MO (2) TU (3)WED (4) TH (5) FR (6) SA (7) SU (8) MO TU WE TH FR (9) SA SU (10) MO TU WE TH FR SA SU Selectable

3. Press "HOUR" Stop At Requested Hour

4. Press "MIN" Stop At Requested Minute 

5. Press "PROG" (Timer 1st OFF Mode)

6. Repeat 2‑4

7. Repeat 1-6 Till Timer 6th OFF Mode Is Setted

8. You May Press "PROG" For Double Checking

9. Press "ON/AUTO/OFF To "AUTO" To Initial Timer

10. Press "CLOCK" To Resume Present Time

VI Turn On Appliance Timer Should At "AUTO" Mode

VII Press "ON/AUTO/OFF" LCD Display "LOCK ON"  AUTO  "LOCK OFF" For Manual Operation. Stop At "AUTO" For Automatic Operation.

VIII For Cancel Engagements, Press "RST/RCL" Then " " Is Displayed On LCD To Confirm Cancel. May Press "RST/RCL" Again To Resume Initial Setting.

NOTE:

(1) For "ON/AUTO/OFF" Function, Only The "AUTO" Position Can Operate Automatically  According To The Programmable Setting. Of The LCD Displays "LOCK ON", The Device  Will Keep "ON", And will Not Be Automatically "OFF" On The Contrary, If "LOCK OFF"  Displays, Than It Will Keep "OFF" Continuously, And Not "ON". (2) The Power Consumption Of Connected Electrical Appliances, Shall Be Within The Limitation  Of Following Rated Capacity.

Turn OFF And Turn ON The "OFF/ON Switch" Immediately Is Necessary Before Operation  For Resetting. (4) As This Time Switch Include NiCd Battery, So Recharge The Battery For 10 Minutes Is  Necessary If The LCD Display Is Not Clear Or Disappear. Also Turn OFF And ON The  Switch Of "OFF/ON" For Resetting is Necessary.

CONTROL OUTPUTS & CONNECTIONS CAUTION:  In spite of an internal safety control, unusual strong noise

 NC NO fields could cause a disturbance of the micro-processor­controlled time switch. Interference can be avoided if the following details are considered during installation:

 * The device should not be installed close to inductive .

 * There has to be layed a separate line for the mains supply

 (if necessary mains suppression filter)

 *Inductive consumers should have to be interference suppressed (varistor, RC section)  After having cleared the interference, a reset of the time switch is necessary.
